Message from the Principal

The month of April went by very quickly due to the Spring Recess in the beginning of the month.  There were a number of notable events in April.  The boys and girls in grades 3-6 took the NYS Assessment Tests in both ELA and Math this month.  The tests were challenging and demanded a tremendous amount of focus.  All of our students worked hard and should be commended.  The Scholastic Book Fair took place in the middle on the month.  Many of our students were able to purchase many new and interesting books.  Thank you to our parent volunteers for their assistance in making the Book Fair a success.  On April 20th, we had our Third Quarter Awards Assembly for the students who earned the Honor Roll.  In addition, we recognized students who had achieved perfect attendance through the first three quarters of the school year. Students who were named most improved for their classes were acknowledged as well.  Many of our students were honored at this assembly, and we look forward to more of our students being recognized in the fourth quarter.  The month of May has arrived, and I have listed some of the important upcoming events for the month.
