Medical Reserve Corps Visits Rensselaer Jr.-Sr. High School for “Stop the Bleed” Training

More information about the Stop the Bleed
The lesson is designed to give students the knowledge and confidence to act quickly during a bleeding emergency. In many situations, the first person on the scene is a bystander, not a medical professional, and students learned that severe injuries can happen anywhere and to anyone. The training focused on recognizing life-threatening bleeding and using simple, effective techniques to help control it until help arrives.
Community members 18 and older are encouraged to consider joining the Medical Reserve Corps. Learn more about serving in the Medical Reserve Corps
