Engineering Excellence: Rams Dominate the Model Bridge Competition!

Huge congratulations to Mr. Bryden’s engineering students for their incredible performance at the Capital District E-Week Model Bridge Competition! Our students dominated the field, showing off some serious structural skill and bringing home a massive total of $2,615 in prize money!

Here is a breakdown of our big winners:

  • "Catwalk" (Middle School): Our younger engineers took 5 out of 6 awards for maximum load and maximum efficiency, earning $415!
    • Minera & Stefan - Won 1st Place Max Load (holding a massive 134 lbs!) and 2nd Place Max Efficiency (1.29).
    • Daron - Took 2nd Place Max Load (holding 131 lbs) and 3rd Place Max Efficiency (1.13)
  • "Traditional" Category (Grades 9-12): Our high schoolers were nearly unstoppable, taking 5 out of 6 awards for maximum load and maximum efficiency for a total of $1,050!
    • Aiden - Won 1st Place Max Efficiency (1.94)!
    • Bryce - Took 2nd Place Max Efficiency (1.92)!
    • Jasik - Won Place Max Load (holding a massive 232 lbs!) and 3rd Place Max Efficiency (1.90).
    • Kevin - Took 3rd Place Max Load (holding 191 lbs!)
  • "Enhanced" Category (Grades 9-12): In this advanced division, our students took home half of the 12 awards available, totaling $1,150!
    • Aalana - Took 2nd Place Max Load (holding 275 lbs!) and Won Max Efficiency (1.92)
    • Taylor - Won Place Max Load (holding a massive 276 lbs!) and 3rd Place Max Efficiency (1.90).
    • Charlie - Took 2nd Place Max Efficiency (1.90)
    • Donald - Took 3rd Place Max Load (holding 235 lbs!) 
Each of our winners will receive the cash directly as a reward for their hard work, precision, and effort. We are so proud of these future engineers!
