10th grade students taking Humanitarian Crises class, had the profound honor of attending a Zoom presentation with Holocaust survivor Lisa Baer, organized by the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Mrs. Baer shared her incredible journey—from witnessing the terrors of Kristallnacht in Nazi Germany to her family's daring flight to freedom through Spain and Portugal. Our students were incredibly engaged, asking insightful questions about the harsh realities she faced and the ingenuity her family used to survive.
We are so grateful to Mrs. Baer for sharing her history and strength, and we are proud of our students for their thoughtful participation in such an important conversation. You can explore more resources and read Lisa Baer's bio in the document attached.
